Introducing IPL / Photofacial

One of the most advantageous treatment options currently available for rejuvenation of the skin is Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), sometimes called an “IPL photofacial” or “fotofacial.” An Intense Pulsed Light procedure is a non-invasive treatment targeting skin damage from age, excessive sun exposure, or other factors. IPL treatment sessions erase damage to the skin without disrupting the skin’s surface; this is great for patients resulting in minimal downtime after a treatment.

Corrects:

    • Brown Spots
    • Broken Capillaries
    • Redness due to rosacea

How does it work?

PhotoFacial involves directing short pulses of visible laser light over the surface of the skin. This frequency of light focuses on certain skin imperfections such as age spots and other pigmentation irregularities, broken capillaries, and redness due to rosacea.

What will my treatment process be like?

Each photofacial treatment takes 45 Minutes to 1 hour. Before the treatment begins, a topical numbing cream may be applied to the skin. A cooling gel is applied to the treatment area to minimize any discomfort. Your skin’s condition will see improvement after each treatment, and with no real down time enabling you to go back to work the same or next day following treatment. Full efficacy of each treatment takes approximately 14 days or 2 weeks. Depending on the conditions being treated, and on how severe those conditions are, you may need a series of treatments to obtain desired and results.
