Dr. Leisa LaCombe Hodges graduated cum laude from Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology.  Subsequently, she earned dual certifications from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists in medical technology and hematology and worked for 16 years in clinical, academic and research settings.  Her passion for medicine led her to pursue a career as a physician.

She then attended California State University, Los Angeles and the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, Arizona where she was among the top graduates of her class and a member of Sigma Sigma Phi, an honorary osteopathic service fraternity.  Upon completion of her internship at Ohio Health Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Hodges moved to Dallas, Texas where she completed her dermatology residency and served as Chief Resident at University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas.  In addition to providing her services with Skin Specialists, Dr. Hodges has volunteered as a medical provider in Guatemala with DOCARE International.

A native of Jennings, Louisiana, Dr. Hodges often enjoys celebrating her Cajun heritage with her extended family, traveling, playing the guitar singing and spending time with her adult son and daughter and 2 granddaughters.

Dr. Hodges is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, the American Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association, the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Dermatological Society, the Dallas Dermatological Society.
